You can look forward to learning about how the team was built, our current mandate, and our successes (and learnings) along the way. With a mix of speakers, you will get the perspective of our director, team members, and product managers.
This session is geared to audience members either interested in standing up their own Product Operations function within their organization, Product Managers who want to understand the benefits of advocating for the function, or individuals interested in getting into the field.

Presenting Panel
Lisa Kramps, Director, Product Operations
Lisa is a Product Operations leader with 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, passionate about leveraging data to drive product strategy and optimizing digital experiences for customer satisfaction. Lisa brings a wealth of experience to the team as a seasoned marketing professional with a background in optimizing experiences, data-driven decisions, product experiences, and leadership.
Infusing client user behavior data, driving outcome-focused practices, and ultimately enabling the product teams to become more data-driven in their practice, the team has found success as a key strategic partner alongside their Product Managers.
Jake Moore, Senior Product Manager
Starting off as a Business Analyst and User Experience Researcher, Jake moved into product about 5 years ago and never looked back. For him, product has become more than a career, it’s become a passion and he finds himself applying product techniques throughout many areas of his life. At ATB Financial, he worked on a variety of products; becoming a founding member of Brightside by ATB, leading ATB’s digital sales platform and most recently with products in the Agriculture and Open Banking spaces.
Emily Olds, Product Operations Manager
After earning her business degree from the U of A, Emily started working at ATB Financial as a Data Scientist. She found herself working on projects such as the retail banking platform launch and ABM modernization before deciding to make the switch into the field of Product Operations. Since then she has worked with various teams across the product life cycle to provide actionable insights.
Jeff Slinger, Product Manager
Jeff Slinger has worked in product management for 8 years within the retail space at ATB. Starting as a summer student, he progressed through his product career path to where he currently is, acting as lead PM on ATB’s Account & Card management portfolio.
He enjoys the creative nature of product management - taking an idea driven by user data or feedback and working cross-functionally with different teams across ATB (product ops, design, tech, risk & compliance, and marketing) to deliver features and solutions that intuitively work for our users and make their lives easier.
Over the last year and a half, they have had a major focus on the self-serve debit card space and have been able to introduce several features that have been received incredibly well by our users. This has culminated in a significant reduction to call volumes in feature areas (saving ATB money) while also putting self-serve card management capabilities in a user's hands
In my spare time, he enjoys golfing casually as well as in tournament competitions. Ask anyone he works with, and they’ll tell you his favourite food group is pizza.
